Helping to Support Teaching and Learning

Durable Cover: In classrooms where durability and protection are crucial, the 225gsm cover ensures longevity, safeguarding pages from wear during frequent use.
Reinforced Binding: With regular handling by children, books need to remain intact, so each book is reinforced with three staples, providing added strength and preventing pages from coming loose.
Personalisation Feature: The printed lines on the cover allow children to personalise their books, fostering a sense of pride and responsibility in their work by making their projects uniquely theirs.
Supports Precision: For precise calculations and neat presentation in mathematical work, the paper aids in developing spatial awareness and accuracy in drawing shapes and graphs with its 10mm squared feature.
Measurement Skills: To reinforce the understanding of measurement concepts, these exercise books help children find the area of rectilinear shapes by counting squares and align with Year 4 mathematics objectives.

8”x 4” Exercise Book 10mm Squares Blue 32pg 50pk

8” x 4” exercise books featuring a bright, mottled 225gsm pressboard cover, 32 pages of 75gsm paper and three staples for strength.

Overview

These exercise books feature 10mm squared paper, 32 pages each, and a pack of 50, ideal for classroom use.

The 75gsm paper used in these exercise books is made from bagasse, a waste product from sugar cane processing, making them a sustainable alternative. These exercise books are essential for supporting mathematical learning, particularly in teaching measurement and geometry concepts. They feature 10mm squared paper, which is ideal for these educational needs. Teachers will appreciate their robust design and durable 225gsm cover, ensuring they withstand frequent use in busy classrooms.

In Year 4 mathematics, the books assist students in measuring and calculating the perimeter of rectilinear figures, including squares, in centimetres and metres. They also support Year 5 students in calculating and comparing the area of rectangles using standard units like square centimetres and square metres.
For Year 3, the books are useful for practising addition and subtraction with up to three digits using formal written methods. They also aid in writing and calculating multiplication and division statements using known multiplication tables. Colour shade may vary.

Supports the National Curriculum

Mathematics, Year 4, Measurement

Find the area of rectilinear shapes by counting squares.

Mathematics, Year 4, Measurement

Measure and calculate the perimeter of a rectilinear figure (including squares) in centimetres and metres.

Mathematics, Year 5, Measurement

Calculate and compare the area of rectangles (including squares), including using standard units, square centimetres (cm²) and square metres (m²), and estimate the area of irregular shapes.
