Helping to Support Teaching and Learning

Systematic Observations: Facilitating systematic observations is crucial for scientific investigations. The TTS log-box data logger supports this by ensuring accurate measurements with standard units.
Precision Measurements: Precision in scientific experiments is essential. The data logger for Upper Key Stage 2 helps achieve exact measurements and encourages repeat readings.
Multiple Sensors: Includes a built-in light, temperature and sound sensor, as well as a pulse meter.
Remote working or App Connectivity: Recordings are easy to view in real time, via the large LCD screen or the logger can be connected via Bluetooth to an app, to view the data and operate remotely.
Working Scientifically: Aligned with Lower Key Stage 2, it supports making systematic observations and measurements, enhancing the ability to work scientifically with diverse data presentations.

TTS Log-Box Data Logger

Compact data logger featuring built in temperature, light and sound sensors and a pulse meter.

Overview

Enhance scientific investigations with precise data logging, supporting systematic observations and accurate measurements.

All of the sensors are clearly labelled to avoid confusion and up to 3 external temperature probes can be connected for comparison exercises. Recordings are easy to view in real time, via the large LCD screen or the logger can be connected via Bluetooth to an app, to view the data and operate remotely. The software allows children to choose how data is displayed in graph, bar chart or table formats.
Simple to use, the tough, durable casing also features lights around the outside, enabling children to easily see whether the logger is in Bluetooth mode (blue lights) or actively logging (red) or in standby mode (green).
Rechargeable device via USB, the data logger is supplied with one external temperature probe.
Data loggers enhance scientific investigation by streamlining the process of making systematic observations and precise measurements. The TTS log-box data logger is a versatile tool, aiding teachers in delivering effective science education.
We know how much you rely on our connected apps, so we want to assure you that TTS will continue to fully support and update the app for 3 years following a product’s discontinuation date, ensuring you can continue using your device without interruption.

This device supports children in making accurate measurements, promoting a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. Its compatibility with various equipment makes it an integral part of scientific investigations for Upper Key Stage 2. Children can take increasingly accurate measurements, record data using scientific diagrams, and analyse results.
In Lower Key Stage 2, the data logger encourages children to gather, record, and present their findings effectively. By documenting observations with simple scientific language, drawings, and charts, children develop confidence in answering scientific enquiries, aligning with curriculum goals.

Supports the National Curriculum

Science, Lower Key Stage 2, Working Scientifically

Making systematic and careful observations and, where appropriate, taking accurate measurements using standard units, using a range of equipment, including thermometers and data loggers.

Science, Upper Key Stage 2, Working Scientifically

Taking measurements, using a range of scientific equipment, with increasing accuracy and precision, taking repeat readings when appropriate.

Science, Upper Key Stage 2, Working Scientifically

Recording data and results of increasing complexity using scientific diagrams and labels, classification keys, tables, scatter graphs, bar and line graphs.
