A screen free, voice guided device that teaches children how to manage their feelings and emotions.

Overview

The Stix Mindfulness Remotes are the world’s first interactive remotes that encourage children to take control of their own mental health. The remotes guide you through fun and engaging therapeutic activities involving balancing, deep breathing, guided meditations and more, and connect to an app to gamify the experience.

With Stix Remotes, children from as young as five can learn how to balance their feelings and emotions. The calming built-in voice guides children through screen-free mindfulness exercises; from breathing instructions to movement-based activities.
Stix teaches children the long-term strategies they need to find a place of calm and focus. Along the way, they’ll discover the building blocks to face any of life’s ups and downs.
Stix comes with a free app with a growing library of fun activities. The Stix mindfulness programme has been developed by experts and mindfulness coaches. They are interactive and a perfect way to teach well-being techniques in any setting.

The Stix Activity Programme was designed by leading psychologists and wellbeing experts.
Every child taking part said that the Stix activities taught them skills that they used in their daily lives, for example, learning to take a step back and breathe when they are feeling angry.
Skills were taught that they can now use in everyday life, this has helped to improve anxiety symptoms – 86% of children had a decrease in their anxiety and depression scores after using Stix, it also helped them improve their mood.
Stix is also calming in stressful situations – 6 in 7 children said Stix had helped them with their relationships when angry or upset.
Children wanted to keep using Stix after the study ended – 100% of children wanted to continue the study at home after it had ended. Children really valued the independence provided by the Stix Remotes, without needing input from teachers or parents.
Studies show that in 2023 about 1 in 5 children and young people had a diagnosable mental health issue making Stix a great tool to support, guide and teach children to reduce anxiety and improve daily focus. – Studies refer to the Mental Health of Children and Young People (MHCYP) survey, conducted between 2017 and 2023. The Stix Remotes have a soft-touch silicone sleeve surrounding each remote, providing a gentle feeling in the hands of users, also providing protection if they are dropped.
The Stix Remotes have re-chargeable lithium-ion batteries and come with a double headed USC-C charger, meaning both remotes can be charged at the same time.
