Best Tactile Reader Pro – Extension Tile Pack Programming & Control Technology|Technology

Overview

• Expand programming possibilities with additional tiles, supporting logical reasoning and debugging skills in computing lessons.

• This extension tile pack allows teachers to build on their existing tactile reader setups, fostering deeper engagement with programming concepts. The tiles are designed to enhance logical reasoning and debugging skills, making computing lessons more practical and hands-on.

• Utilise these tiles to introduce children to complex programming concepts. The pack, which includes tiles for 45-degree turns and repeat loops, encourages children to understand direction and spatial awareness, and simplifies complex algorithm designs.

• Children can explore sequence, debugging, and control in programming, crucial for early development in computational thinking. The inclusion of multiple repeat commands such as ‘Repeat Start’ and ‘Repeat End’ allows pupils to experiment with loops—an essential construct in programming.

• For Key Stage 1, the tiles support activities that help children create and debug simple programs, aligning with curriculum targets. They provide hands-on practice in using logical reasoning to predict programme behaviour.

• In Key Stage 2, they aid in developing children’s ability to explain algorithms and detect errors. This assists in meeting curriculum goals by further enhancing computing education. This pack is essential for deepening the understanding of programming principles.

• Includes 25 tiles.
