Helping to Support Teaching and Learning

Expandability: The GinoBot mechatronics kit features expandability with ENGINO parts and peripherals, allowing for extensive customization and creativity.
Mechanical and Electronic Elements: It includes both mechanical and electronic elements, allowing children to build diverse models such as a walking hexapod, a grabber, and a line-drawing car.
Hands-On Learning: Children can engage in open projects, applying engineering design methodologies to design, build, program, and test their own solutions to real-life problems.
Additional Actions: The extra motor allows for additional actions such as grabbing or lifting, enhancing the functionality of the built models.
Electrical Systems: Supports Key Stage 2 design & technology aims by helping children understand and use electrical systems in their projects.

GinoBot Mechatronics

GinoBot features expandability with ENGINO parts and peripherals.

Overview

The mechatronics add-on includes both mechanical and electronic elements, allowing children to build diverse models.

Teachers will find the GinoBot mechatronics kit useful for enhancing learning in computing and design & technology. The kit allows children to build models such as a walking hexapod, a grabber, a line-drawing car, and an excavator. Children apply engineering design methodologies through this hands-on approach, designing, building, programming, and testing their own solutions.

For design & technology classes, the GinoBot kit aligns with Key Stage 2 technical knowledge aims. Children can use electrical systems in their projects. An extra motor enables actions like grabbing or lifting, aiding in decomposing problems into smaller parts.
In computing lessons, the kit supports Key Stage 2 objectives by helping children design programs to control or simulate physical systems. The kit includes a plethora of ENGINO parts, providing ample resources for exploration and innovation.

Supports the National Curriculum

Computing, Key Stage 2

Design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems and solve problems by decomposing them into smaller parts.

Design & Technology, Key Stage 2, Technical Knowledge

Understand and use electrical systems in their products (for example, series circuits incorporating switches, bulbs, buzzers and motors).
