These cards support the curriculum by focusing on multiplication, division, and number operations. Year 5 children can solve problems involving factors, multiples, squares, and cubes, aligning perfectly with curricular objectives.
Furthermore, the questions encourage and develop mathematical oracy, allowing children to express their thoughts and ideas fluently through speech, and articulate their mathematical thinking and reasoning. Through discussion, pupils develop deeper understanding of the maths they are learning. The cards also give teachers the chance to assess what pupils know and understand.
