TTS Tactile Reader Pro – Loti-Bot Tiles pack

A set of tiles designed for use with the Loti-Bot and Tactile Reader Pro, enhancing programming skills.

Overview

Enhance programming lessons with tactile tiles that support logical reasoning and debugging in Key Stage 1 and 2 computing.

Teachers aiming to enhance programming lessons can benefit significantly from the TTS tactile reader pro tiles pack. Designed to work with the Loti-Bot, these tiles offer a hands-on learning experience, addressing the need to make abstract programming concepts tangible while fostering active participation and logical reasoning.
Pupils can program Loti-Bot’s RGB LEDs, play sounds and control Loti-Bot’s headlights when programming Loti-Bot’s movement. The tiles encourage children to utilise the robot’s main features including light and sound. The pack contains 25 tiles in total including 8 sound tiles, 13 RGB tiles and 4 headlight tiles.

In Key Stage 1, the tiles assist children in predicting program behaviour, which reinforces logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. This aligns with curriculum goals, ensuring students grasp the foundational aspects of computing.
For Key Stage 2, the tiles support learning of more advanced concepts such as sequence, selection, and repetition, while working with variables and input/output forms. This ensures that pupils develop the complex programming skills outlined in the computing curriculum, keeping learning engaging and comprehensive.
These tiles are compatible with the TTS Tactile Reader Pro.
