Helping to Support Teaching and Learning

Dyslexia friendly: These rulers are often recommended for children with dyslexia as they can significantly ease reading difficulties associated with visual stress symptoms.
Visual stress reduction: Helps to minimise visual discomfort caused by glare or harsh contrasts on a white page, which can be particularly challenging for children with visual stress issues.
Improved tracking: The narrow window on the ruler acts as a guide, allowing children to focus on just one line of text at a time, preventing eye strain from jumping between lines.
Adjustable colour options: Available in sixteen colours allowing children to choose the tint that works best for them based on personal preference.
Enhanced focus: By isolating the text with a coloured tint, the ruler can help children concentrate on the reading process, reducing distraction

Duo Window Eye Level Reading Rulers 16pk

The Duo Reading Ruler is a coloured overlay filter and text highlighter about the size of an eight-inch ruler.

Overview

Designed to improve reading experiences for those experiencing visual stress or dyslexia.

Simply read the text through either of the tinted plastic strips from the choice of colours and track down the page. They help to improve focus and tracking while reading by providing a coloured window that highlights a single line of text, reducing the strain of looking at a full white page and making it easier to follow the words, enhancing reading comprehension and fluency.

Duo Window Reading Rulers are divided into a narrow reading window and a wide reading window by an opaque strip. Children who have difficulties keeping their focus on the line being read find this design useful. Focus can be further confined by taping paper over the wide transparent window a quarter of an inch below the opaque part of the ruler, so that all words except the present line are completely blocked.
