TTS Rugged Robot Data Logging Backpack

Enhance Rugged Robot with data logging capabilities for engaging scientific exploration.

Overview

Enables logging of light, sound, and temperature data, compatible with PC, Mac, and Chromebook for easy data export.

This data logging backpack transforms the Rugged Robot into a powerful tool for real-world scientific exploration, allowing children to collect data on light, sound, and temperature. With adjustable sampling rates, it promotes investigative learning, encouraging curiosity and enhancing problem-solving skills.

For Science, particularly within Lower Key Stage 2, this accessory becomes an invaluable resource for conducting experiments aligned with working scientifically. It enables children to make systematic observations, and accurately gather data, fostering an analytical mindset critical for scientific inquiry.
In Computing lessons, the Rugged Robot itself aligns with curriculum goals at Key Stage 1 and 2. It offers practical application in creating, debugging, and understanding the logic behind programs.

Supports the National Curriculum

Computing, Key Stage 1

Create and debug simple programs.

Computing, Key Stage 1

Use logical reasoning to predict the behaviour of simple programs.

Computing, Key Stage 2

Design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems and solve problems by decomposing them into smaller parts.
