VU+ Primary Data Logger

With sensors for light, temperature, heart rate and sound, data can be recorded remotely or via Bluetooth/USB-C connectivity.

Overview

Features a large, clear, high-contrast screen with intuitive, graphical icons. Ideal for capturing and analysing data in the classroom.

Children need to collect and analyse scientific data to enhance their learning. The VU+ primary data logger enables this by providing four built-in sensors for light, temperature, heart rate and sound. It also features three external sensor sockets. It records data remotely into its memory or can be connected to a computer using Bluetooth or USB-C, making data analysis accessible and practical in educational settings.

The device benefits lower Key Stage 2 Science, by aiding children in making systematic observations and taking accurate measurements using standard units and a range of equipment.
For Upper Key Stage 2, the data logger aids in taking accurate measurements with diverse scientific tools and repeat readings. The Easysense software enhances data analysis, allowing children to observe patterns and trends over time. A teaching guide provides additional resources for classroom use.

Supports the National Curriculum

Science, Lower Key Stage 2, Working Scientifically

Making systematic and careful observations and, where appropriate, taking accurate measurements using standard units, using a range of equipment, including thermometers and data loggers.

Science, Upper Key Stage 2, Working Scientifically

Taking measurements, using a range of scientific equipment, with increasing accuracy and precision, taking repeat readings when appropriate.
