BYOR Kickoff Kit – Led + Sound

The easiest way to start building creations with LED and sound components.

Overview

Explore the construction of various mechanical structures like windmills and ferris wheels while learning programming basics.

This robotics kit provides an interactive way for children to learn programming and engineering fundamentals. The inclusion of a small Easyboard simplifies initial setup and understanding, making it accessible to beginners. Constructing models like windmills and ferris wheels allows children to practice designing and debugging simple programs.

Aligned with the UK curriculum, children learn to create and debug simple programs.
The projects encourage understanding of electrical systems, incorporating components like series circuits, switches, and motors, thus blending computing with practical design and technology. This hands-on approach deepens technical knowledge and enhances problem-solving and collaborative skills.

Supports the National Curriculum

Computing, Key Stage 1

Create and debug simple programs.

Computing, Key Stage 2

Design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems and solve problems by decomposing them into smaller parts.

Design & Technology, Key Stage 2, Technical Knowledge

Understand and use electrical systems in their products (for example, series circuits incorporating switches, bulbs, buzzers and motors).
