Sphero indi Classroom Pack

Embark on a STEAM journey with the entire class using the indi Class Pack.

Overview

Introducing early learners to STEAM, the Sphero indi learning robot inspires the exploration of computational thinking through engaging play.

Geared towards early learners, the Sphero indi Classroom Pack serves as an invaluable asset for embedding computational thinking and computer science within STEAM education. Through play-based learning, including maze construction and puzzle solving, it engages children in a hands-on exploration of core concepts.

The Curriculum at Key Stages 1 and 2 aligns perfectly with the pack’s resources. At Key Stage 1, it encourages learners to create and debug simple programs. Progressing to Key Stage 2, it aids in designing and debugging programs aimed at specific goals such as controlling or simulating physical systems. It deepens understanding of sequences, variables, and inputs and outputs.
Included are 8 Sphero indi robots, charging cases, an educator guide book with indi-specific lesson plans, and programming challenge cards. These features are designed to integrate seamlessly into classroom activities, promoting teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.

Supports the National Curriculum

Computing, Key Stage 1

Create and debug simple programs.

Computing, Key Stage 2

Design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems and solve problems by decomposing them into smaller parts.

Computing, Key Stage 2

Use sequence, selection, and repetition in programs and work with variables and various forms of input and output.
