A set of small world figures with visible disabilities.

Ensure children are exposed to an inclusive range of small world figures. These characters can portray family members or friends.

Teachers will find these EYFS small world figures beneficial for promoting diversity and inclusion. Designed with visible disabilities, these figures help children develop positive attitudes towards diversity. They serve as excellent tools for discussions about inclusion and representation, encouraging empathy and understanding.

Incorporating these figures into expressive arts and design activities supports the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum by encouraging imaginative play and storytelling. Children can use them alongside animal sets, dolls, and dollhouses to enhance creative expression.
These EYFS small world figures also help meet the EYFS goal of understanding the world. By using props, puppets, dolls, and books, children can observe and discuss similarities and differences in the world, improving their communication and language skills through pretend play.
