4 x C Battery Holders

Four holder set for C size batteries, providing six volts for educational electrical experiments.

Overview

These battery holders are useful for connecting components in educational settings, requiring battery snaps for connection.

Providing a practical resource for constructing simple series electrical circuits, these battery holders engage children in hands-on learning.

Learners can delve deeper into electrical concepts, comparing how different components, like the brightness of bulbs or loudness of buzzers, affect circuit functionality. The holders facilitate experiments that demystify electrical principles, fostering analytical skills among pupils.
Utilised effectively, these holders support structured learning, helping teachers align practical science experiments with curriculum goals. They serve as a bridge between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, enriching the learning experience and enhancing comprehension of fundamental science principles.
Please note: Not suitable for use with alkali batteries as overheating issues can arise. Recommended for use with zinc chloride batteries.

Supports the National Curriculum

Science, Year 4, Electricity

Construct a simple series electrical circuit, identifying and naming its basic parts, including cells, wires, bulbs, switches and buzzers.

Science, Year 4, Electricity

Identify whether or not a lamp will light in a simple series circuit, based on whether or not the lamp is part of a complete loop with a battery.

Science, Year 6, Electricity

Compare and give reasons for variations in how components function, including the brightness of bulbs, the loudness of buzzers and the on/off position of switches.
