Connecting Base Ten Set 131pcs

A visual and interactive way to explore place value concepts.

Overview

This set includes various components for hands-on learning of number sense and place value, complete with an activity guide.

The Connecting Base Ten Set enhances maths understanding through physical manipulation of pieces representing ones, tens, hundreds, and thousands. Its coloured components and included guide support structured, hands-on learning within a durable storage container.

Aligning with the UK Mathematics curriculum for Year 1 to Year 4, it encompasses counting, comparison, and numeracy skills up to 1,000 and recognising place value in a four-digit number. Designed to meet curriculum objectives such as counting across 100, understanding comparison signs, and appreciating the value of digits in larger numbers in base ten, it facilitates a dynamic learning environment.
Beyond curriculum alignment, the set promotes skill development in operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division through interactive play. Its unique interlocking components make mathematical exploration accessible and engaging, transforming abstract concepts into tangible learning experiences.
