Counting Stick for Teachers

A demonstration-sized counting stick for whole-class mental arithmetic.

Overview

Versatile 1 metre counting stick, printed on three sides with scales for diverse mathematical activities.

Made of wood-effect, scratch-resistant plastic, this 1-meter counting stick boosts math skills for 5 to 7-year-olds. It offers four scales: 4s, 10s, 100s, and a blank side for custom exercises. Teachers recommend it for times tables, missing numbers, measuring, fractions, and a variety of maths games. Its vivid colors ensure classroom visibility.

It supports Key Stage 1 Mathematics by enhancing counting to and across 100, forwards and backwards, from any number. It enables counting, reading, and writing numbers to 100, counting in multiples of 2s, 5s, and 10s, determining one more or less than a number, and representing numbers with objects and pictures, including number lines.
Ideal for interventions and catch-up, the counting stick aids mathematical understanding across KS1 and KS2 levels, covering basic to complex concepts.
