Push On/Off Switch 5pk

A straightforward push switch for completing or breaking a circuit with a simple push.

Overview

Ideal for Key Stage 2 Science, this switch pack enables students to build and explore simple circuits effectively.

Essential for KS2 science classes, the five push on/off switches elevate learning in basic circuit construction, adhering to the Key Stage 2 electricity curriculum. Through practical application, children can easily engage with the construction of series circuits, enhancing their understanding of electrical components such as cells, wires, bulbs, switches, and buzzers.

Ideal for Year 4 and Year 6 students, the switches promote active investigation into the workings of circuits and the role component variation plays in the functioning of electrical components and devices. This supports learning objectives by allowing students to hands-on explore and understand electricity concepts, solidifying their knowledge through practical experience.
These switches are not only designed for durability but also for ease of use, ensuring they can serve educational purposes year after year. They enable students to apply science principles practically, making learning both effective and engaging.

Supports the National Curriculum

Science, Year 4, Electricity

Construct a simple series electrical circuit, identifying and naming its basic parts, including cells, wires, bulbs, switches and buzzers.

Science, Year 4, Electricity

Recognise that a switch opens and closes a circuit and associate this with whether or not a lamp lights in a simple series circuit.

Science, Year 6, Electricity

Compare and give reasons for variations in how components function, including the brightness of bulbs, the loudness of buzzers and the on/off position of switches.
